So last week on Sunday, at the end of Shacharis, a guy (not the rabbi) gets up there to blow the shofar -- and he just can't. He huffs and he puffs, but sounds like a he's blowing through a paper towel roll. The crowd starts shrugging our shoulders and giving up... until a Meshulach walks up, motions for the shofar, and proceeds the blow the HELL out of it.
It was awesome. First Meshulach I've ever seen actually earn his moolah. (Which, unfortunately, I couldn't provide, since I forgot my wallet at home.)
