Sometimes I Forget Who I'm Learning With

For the past few months, I've been learning with Rabbi Broyde on Sunday mornings. His vast Torah knowledge makes it easy to remember why he's an authority on halacha... but every now and then, I'm reminded that he's also a renowned law professor. Today, for example, I noticed that he no longer had a beard:

"Hey, why'd you shave?"

"I shaved because I had a gathering with Justice Scalia."

"Justice Scalia! What's he like?"

"He's very entertaining."

Now, for the fifty thousand dollar question. Did you tell the Rav that you blogged about him?

Entertaining Funny or Entertaining Crazy? (I'm voting for the latter).

Scalia isn't exactly my hero, but it's good to have connections.

I do find it curious that his sole description was "entertaining."
