Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?

We've had two weeks this year where winter came down to Georgia.  It all started innocently enough... first we got a visit from my cousin Max.

But the next day, the snow started falling.  Atlanta became a huge traffic nightmare.  I escaped most of it by taking public transportation.  As for Lucky, it brought out his inner Elsa.  As do most things.

Upside to living in Atlanta: there are hills everywhere, so plenty of opportunities to go sledding.

Downside: nobody owns any sleds.

So they use laundry baskets.

Okay, so that looks like a sled, but I have no idea where she got it.

There were fire-roasted smores, of course.

That night, we told Hannah the big news.  None of this was staged.

Then came this week's ice storm.  School was canceled but it was more slippery and slushy than anything else.  But we did scrape some ice up and made 'em into sno-cones. 

With maple syrup for flavoring.

Rachelle wasn't in the mood for maple syrup.

Strangely, Hannah was the only one who actually got around to building a snowman.
